F.U.N.D.S., Inc. Concludes the SC Black History Parade and Festival
“KARAMU Celebrate!!!!!” with a Historic Grand Finale
Columbia, South Carolina — February 22, 2025 — With careful thought and consideration, F.U.N.D.S., Inc. (501C3) concluded the SC Black History Parade and Festival,
“KARAMU Celebrate!!!!” with its Grand Finale on Saturday, February 22, 2025, marking the close of a powerful 20-year legacy of education, culture, and community celebration.
For two decades, KARAMU Celebrate!!!!” served as a vibrant platform honoring African American history, culture, achievement, and resilience. What began as a vision grew into a cherished annual tradition, bringing together families, educators, artists, civic leaders, and community members from across South Carolina.
“We are profoundly thankful for these 20 years,” said L. Oveta Glover, Founder of F.U.N.D.S., Inc. and Organizer of the SC Black History Parade and Festival.
“KARAMU Celebrate!!!!” was built on love, sacrifice, and collective commitment. Every organizer, volunteer, vendor, participant, supporter, and spectator played a role in sustaining this legacy. Together, they endured challenges and celebrated triumphs, year after year.”
Founded and organized by L. Oveta Glover, the SC Black History Parade and Festival became a cornerstone Black History Month event, rooted in education, celebration, and community pride. Its success was made possible through the dedication of countless individuals and organizations who believed in the mission and stood with it over two decades.
“This Grand Finale is not an ending of purpose, but a celebration of impact,” Glover added. “KARAMU Celebrate!!!!” will always live in the hearts of the people and in the history of our community. We close this chapter with gratitude, reflection, and immense pride.”
As the curtain closes on this historic chapter, F.U.N.D.S., Inc. remains thankful for the legacy created and the countless lives touched through education, entertainment, and cultural celebration. The SC Black History Parade and Festival “KARAMU Celebrate!!!!!” will forever remain a meaningful part of South Carolina’s cultural fabric.
Please note: there will not be a SC Black History Parade and Festival in 2026.
